- Solar cooking and baking makes food delicious, moist and tender. The solar oven cooks your food low and slow, much like a crockpot. It is ideal for creating juicy meats that are fork tender and light and fluffy breads.
- Remember the more you try and experiement with your solar oven the more accustomed to it you will become! You will learn the direction to face the oven and become accquianted with more percisce cooking times.
- Follow the sun throughout your cooking duration. In the northern hemisphere, durring the morning face the oven's "window" toward the southeast. For afternoon cooking, face the "window" toward the southwest.
- Cooking food in small quantities decreases the cooking time. If cooking a large amount of food consider dividing it between two pots to keep the heat high and reduce cooking times.
Always remeber inside the oven is HOT!! Use percation and care when opening the lid, adding and removing pots.
